Senior Control Systems Engineer

Company provides custom scanning and control system solutions in the wood processing industry.

Responsibilities:

• PLC programming
• Troubleshooting of electrical, PLC, and HMI
• Support project proposals and estimation
• Preparing functional specifications
• Site commissioning and installation
• Perform other duties as assigned by Project Manager
• On-call service/support for existing installations

Requirements:

• Effective communication skills with desire to take on new challenges
• Hardworking leader with a commitment to excellence and continuous improvement
• Advanced knowledge of Rockwell Automation’s AB family of programmable control systems
• Knowledge of motion control systems
• Knowledge of AutoCAD or similar programs is an asset
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office applications
• Excellent organization skills and the ability to work independently or within a team

Qualifications:

• Electrical Engineering or related Degree, Engineering Technology Diploma or equivalent
• 5+ years of experience in an industrial environment (Sawmill Industry Experience, ASSET)
• Aptitude for Programming (C, C#, VBA, SQL, Ladder Logic, or other languages)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Highly motivated team player
• Hold and maintain a valid driver's license, travel up to 20%
