Senior Content Manager, People Managing People (CA) at Black & White Zebra. Base pay range : CA$140,000.00 / yr - CA$180,000.00 / yr. This role leads the program for People Managing People and reports to drive strategic content across multiple formats to support forward-thinking leaders using AI to build better systems and human-centered work practices.

This full-time position is remote with optional office in Vancouver, BC. The salary range is a guide for new hires based in Canada and may vary for candidates outside Canada or at different seniority levels. In addition to base pay, the role includes a discretionary bonus and comprehensive benefits.

What You’ll Be Doing (Responsibilities)
  • Lead content strategy and roadmap : Own the content roadmap, deciding what we create, update, and optimize across channels based on performance data, business goals, and audience needs. Extend stories across editorial, podcasts, newsletters, video, social, and events, repurposing content for maximum impact. Evolve our editorial methodology to ensure every piece aligns with the mission to help readers future-proof their organizations. Ground decisions in SEO, user feedback, competitive research, data sources, and emerging audience needs—especially around AI and the future of project delivery.
  • Elevate content quality and innovation : Oversee site-wide content quality and clarity. Write and contribute first-person content on high-priority topics, contribute to interviews, podcasts, and digital PR opportunities, and scale new formats (interactive tools, visual storytelling, surveys, etc.). Surface emerging reader needs by talking to users and testing tools, with a focus on AI topics.
  • Embed and scale AI-powered content systems : Work with content operations to integrate AI across the workflow—from templates to publishing and optimization. Coach editors to participate in earned media and thought leadership opportunities in partnership with the Digital PR Lead.
  • Grow a high-performing content team : Manage and mentor editors and contributors, providing editorial development and career support. Foster a culture of curiosity, collaboration, and experimentation at the intersection of AI innovation and content leadership. Collaborate cross-functionally with SEO, product marketing, events, and partnerships to build trust and authority.
What Your Skillset Includes
  • 5–7+ years in organic content strategy, editorial leadership, or content marketing, with a track record of scaling programs and driving measurable growth.
  • Strong foundation in business management and people leadership, with experience using HR / organizational tools and translating that experience into high-value content.
  • Proven ability to manage content teams or freelancers in fast-paced environments, balancing coaching, quality, and efficiency.
  • Deep knowledge of SEO, user intent, and content UX, and how to create content that ranks and converts.
  • Advanced experience with AI-assisted content production, including prompt design and workflow integration to increase efficiency.
  • Strong research, interviewing, and storytelling skills to turn complex concepts into clear narratives.
  • Excellent cross-functional communication and project management with stakeholders in SEO, media, operations, and leadership.
  • Data-driven decision making with experience in GA4, Ahrefs, WordPress, and Airtable.
  • Curiosity about future leadership tools and approaches, with a passion for helping others adapt and thrive.
Nice To Haves
  • Experience contributing expert commentary or appearing in thought leadership content.
  • Familiarity with PR / media collaboration and working with outreach teams.
  • Background in content UX, accessibility, or conversion-oriented design for content.
Salary Statement

This position is remote with an optional Vancouver office. The annual base salary is CAD 140,000 to CAD 180,000. The range is a guideline for Canada-based hires and may vary for candidates outside Canada or at different seniority levels. Eligible for a discretionary bonus and comprehensive benefits.
