Job description

Role:

Senior Consulting Analyst, Financial Close (BlackLine)

Location:

  • Location: Toronto, Canada
  • Office Options: Hybrid – We expect 4 days of in-person work per month, allowing flexibility in choosing these days to accommodate client meetings, team syncs, and individual schedules.
  • Travel Requirements: Up to 40%

What You'll Do:

  • Collaborate with project teams to design and implement improvements to financial workflows and reporting structures.
  • Assist in managing project activities, ensuring alignment with client goals and timelines.
  • Work towards becoming a subject matter expert in financial close processes and BlackLine implementations.
  • Work closely with client teams to define business requirements and solutions. Identify areas for process optimization and provide data-driven recommendations.
  • Lead/participate in client-facing workshops and meetings.
  • Create and deploy digital dashboards to understand client’s processes and provide key insights into opportunities for transformation.

What You'll Bring:

  • At least 3 years of experience working with BlackLine or financial close process areas.
  • Advanced skills in data analysis and visualization tools like Power BI and Microsoft Fabric.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a focus on process optimization.
  • Proficiency in financial systems, including Salesforce and other relevant applications.
  • Experience supporting transformation projects and collaborating across teams.
  • Understanding of project management and change management principles.

Nice-to-Haves:

  • 1+ year of professional work experience with Trintech T-Recs.
  • Familiarity with FinancialForce or other ERP systems.
  • Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma principles or similar process improvement methodologies.
  • Fluent in French.

The compensation range for this position is $103,000 – 135,000 CAD. We are committed to ensuring our offers reflect the value each candidate brings to the role and compensation will be determined based upon several factors, including skill level, relevant work experience, educational background, and alignment with industry standards.
