What will your typical day look like?

About the team

Deloitte\'s valuation specialists provide complete and objective valuation services for both public and private companies for M&A, taxation, financial reporting, dispute and strategy purposes. We help clients through some of their most complex business matters. Our clients span a broad range of industries, including financial services, technology, media and communications, transportation, manufacturing, energy and resources, mining, distribution and retail, healthcare, hospitality, and waste management.

Our qualified, experienced professionals are part of a worldwide network with deep experience in a wide range of valuation issues. They can be engaged to:

  • Provide fairness opinions and formal valuations (OSC Rule 61-101)
  • Build financial models for corporate planning, deal assessment and other purposes
  • Identify and value intangible assets, such as intellectual property, customer relationships, technology, trademarks/names, etc.
  • Provide valuations of assets and business interests for taxation purposes
  • Determine purchase price allocation and goodwill impairment
  • Determine economic losses and value in a dispute setting
  • Provide financial and operational research
  • Perform cost segregation studies for income tax and financial statement reporting purposes

You are someone who has:

  • Completed an undergraduate degree with outstanding academic credentials
  • Must have a CPA/CA or have passed CPA exam or be writing the CPA exam
  • 2-5 years of relevant work experience
  • Willingness to enroll in a second designation
  • Strong commitment to professional client service excellence
  • Excellent interpersonal relations and a demonstrated ability to work effectively with others in teams
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven analytical skills and systematic problem solving
  • Canadian travel required and occasional international travel. Candidates must be able to enter the USA to work on client assignments.
Total Rewards

The salary range for this position is $72,000 - $108,000, and individuals may be eligible to participate in our bonus program.
