Job summary

WSP in Canada seeks a Senior Consultant, Oil Sands Mine Reclamation to lead end-to-end reclamation and closure solutions, from early planning to long-term monitoring. You will act as a technical leader and trusted advisor on mine closure across complex projects.

This role requires 8–12+ years in mine reclamation, strong regulatory and stakeholder engagement, and the ability to mentor junior staff while growing the practice across Canada.

Qualifications

  • 8–12+ years of experience in mine reclamation, closure planning, or environmental consulting.
  • Proven experience with oil sands or large-scale mining reclamation and closure projects.
  • Strong expertise in reclamation planning, closure strategy development, and multidisciplinary integration.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage project scope, schedules, budgets, and client expectations.
  • Experience preparing technical reports and communicating complex concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel to project sites.

As a Senior Consultant, Oil Sands Mine Reclamation, you will bring together multidisciplinary expertise to deliver innovative, end-to-end reclamation and closure solutions, from early-stage planning through to implementation and long-term monitoring.

Compensation

AB, BC, NT, NU, SK & YT: $122,900 – $162,800
MB & ON: 112,100 – $154,400
NB, NL, NS, PE & QC: $111,000 – $147,400
