Job description

Just HR is seeking an experienced Senior HR Consultant for an interim engagement (6 months+). This role is a key partner to leadership, responsible for learning and development programs, overseeing compensation strategies, and general HR operations to drive organizational effectiveness and employee engagement. The ideal candidate will bring deep HR expertise, a consultative mindset, and a passion for building people-centric solutions that align with our client's business goals. Our client operates a complex business that plays an integral role in getting our country's natural resources to global markets.

Responsibilities:

  • Implement an L&D strategy that integrates succession planning, leverages information technology, and covers critical organizational areas for future growth and scalability.
  • Conduct thorough assessments to measure the effectiveness of all HR strategies and adjust programs as needed to meet evolving organizational needs.
  • Develop and implement scalable, impactful training programs tailored to executive needs, ensuring alignment with industry best practices and organizational objectives.
  • Evaluate and incorporate new and emerging learning technologies and methodologies to enhance training effectiveness and employee engagement.
  • Provide expert guidance on best practices in L&D, including the latest trends and innovative solutions to ensure the organization remains at the forefront of professional development.
  • Design, implement, and manage competitive compensation strategies aligned with market trends and internal equity.
  • Develop and oversee learning and development programs that support career growth, leadership development, and skills enhancement.
  • Evaluate program effectiveness and continuously improve learning strategies based on feedback and performance data.
  • Provide strategic HR support across the employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and employee relations.
  • Ensure compliance with labour laws, HR policies, and company procedures.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to managers and employees on HR best practices, organizational changes, and team development.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s degree or HR certification preferred).
  • Proven experience as an HR consultant, training manager, or similar role, particularly within a consulting or corporate environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement comprehensive L&D strategies across a wide range of disciplines, including succession planning and information technology.
  • Strong command of modern learning technologies, platforms, and practices, with experience in deploying these solutions to drive organizational learning.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence senior executives and stakeholders effectively.
  • Background in HR or organizational development, with a deep understanding of how L&D initiatives align with broader HR strategies and business goals.
  • Agile and adaptable approach to managing complex projects, with the ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Remuneration:

  • $80 - $100/hr
