What will your typical day look like?

Our team serves clients in the financial services industry to proactively respond to regulatory changes, optimize compliance programs, design and implement scalable and effective processes and controls to protect value and enable growth across their organization.

As a Senior Consultant, you will work in a collaborative team environment to analyze and address key regulatory challenges for some of the largest, most interesting, and systemically important organizations in the financial services industry. You will have the opportunity to work alongside industry experts to develop outputs that drive superior client value.

You will develop your subject matter expertise over a broad range of capabilities, including but not limited to:

  • Key principles of effective regulatory risk management (e.g., risk assessments, controls, monitoring and testing);
  • Various regulatory risk types (e.g., consumer protection, market integrity);
  • Dynamic range of client profiles across the financial services industry (e.g., large and medium-sized institutions in banking, capital markets, investment management, insurance).

The successful candidate will have responsibility to:

  • Support our clients by delivering exceptional value and enhancing the insights provided by our work.
  • Participate on a diverse team of talented resources, continuously learning and developing your potential.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key Deloitte and client contacts.
  • Develop your expertise in a specialization and your reputation as a business advisor.
  • Employ excellent time management and organizational skills to ensure client satisfaction and project profitability.
  • Contribute to practice growth, business development, and go-to-market activities related to FSI regulatory consulting.
  • Support the development of Points of View, White Papers, and solutions to help clients achieve their goals.
About the team

We are one of the largest Risk and Regulatory practices in Canada. Our FSI Regulatory practice helps clients understand and comply with evolving regulatory requirements, using innovative technology and resources to deliver impactful solutions. We provide proactive assessments of regulatory trends and their impact on business models, drawing on extensive experience to make a meaningful impact in the financial services industry and shape the future of regulatory risk management.

Enough about us, let’s talk about you

You are someone who has:

  • 4+ years of relevant experience; consulting experience, experience working in financial services related to regulatory and non-financial risk matters, and/or experience with Canadian financial regulatory bodies is preferred.
  • Undergraduate or Graduate Degree in Accounting, Law, Business Administration, Finance, Engineering, or similar disciplines.
  • A passion for solving problems and making an impact related to regulatory and risk matters in financial services.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical reasoning skills with the ability to synthesize information and handle complex issues.
  • Exceptional planning and organizational skills to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Superior verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
  • Willingness to travel to client sites as needed.
  • US regulatory experience is an asset.
  • Bilingual in French and English is an asset.
Total Rewards

The salary range is $83,000 - $125,000, with potential eligibility for a bonus. Deloitte offers a comprehensive Total Rewards package including competitive salary, benefits, wellness support, flexible work arrangements, and more.
