What you’ll be doing
The Senior Consultant, EAML Governance and Implementation Oversight is responsible for the effective operation and monitoring of Governance activities and the oversight, tracking and reporting of implementation activities in EAML. This role works with the Director, Governance & Implementation Oversight and Consultant Governance & Implementation Oversight to support the Senior Director, EAML Governance in the mandate to improve and monitor Governance activities and the implementation of business led initiatives and regulatory changes that impact EAML.

How you’ll succeed
Effective and efficient governance – In alignment with established Governance practices, ensure effective and efficient Governance in EAML including tracking the mandates, effectiveness reviews and operation of Committees/Forums across EAML globally; identify and recommend Governance processes/activities to improve operations across EAML; liaise with enterprise risk to ensure alignment to CIBC’s requirements for Governance processes and activities; report on Governance across EAML.
Management reporting - Generate meaningful and timely reporting for Management, ensuring completeness, accuracy and raise all risks identified. Track and rate the status of implementation activities in EAML.
Relationship management – Build strong business relationships with stakeholders by leveraging effective communication and relationship management skills to make an impact. Ability to work collaboratively across EAML and with other stakeholders to ensure alignment on Governance Practices. Work with regions to have them implement the activities for regulatory change management to ensure consistency in approach and reporting.
Continuous improvement – Proactively identify and implement improvements such as training, communication or other activities that enhance the AML/ATF & Sanctions program globally.
Who you are
You have strong knowledge of Governance practices and understand the importance of implementing frameworks, tools and tactics to manage risk.
You have experience leading or supporting technology-related, system-based projects, with a strong track record of organizing, tracking, and reporting on activities, leveraging project management processes and knowledge.
It’s an asset if you have working experience in AML and/or knowledge on AML program elements/pillars.
