What You’ll be doing

Corporate Security is a dynamic, multi-skilled group. Our mandate is to deliver multi-layered, intelligence-led, risk-based security solutions that effectively mitigate security and fraud threats and enhance operational resilience, brand, and client trust. Reporting to the Director, the Senior Consultant is responsible for managing the Corporate Security Western Mailbox, triaging all internal and external escalations (law enforcement, financial institutions) and conducting investigations. They will support and collaborate with all lines of business to assess, mitigate, and prevent operational risks, ensuring a safe and secure working environment. Responsibilities include investigating cases of fraud, fraud recoveries, potential irrecoverable losses (including litigation support), and other criminal incidents. They will also provide investigative support to CSII Investigation teams.

Details on work arrangements (on-site and remote) will be discussed during the interview.

How you'll succeed
  • Ensuring high standard of investigation service delivery - Provide specialized advice/consultation on investigations related to fraud, defalcation, irrecoverable losses, and criminal incidents. Assist in identifying control gaps and managing external fraud cases, especially organized attacks. Investigate internal fraud and policy breaches.
  • Client engagement - Develop relationships with business leaders and law enforcement. Lead industry investigative efforts and build partnerships to mitigate risks. Liaise with other financial institutions' security teams.
  • Participate in projects and research - Prepare reports, deliver presentations, and analyze data. Use discretion with sensitive issues. Manage multiple projects under tight deadlines, including high-profile ones.
  • Work under pressure - Conduct investigations and present findings promptly. Use analytical and problem-solving skills to interpret complex information and develop solutions.

  • Experience: 10-12 years in investigative practices, regulatory environment, criminal law, police, and regulatory procedures. Industry contacts are a plus.
