What you’ll be doing

Our Competitive Search Enablement team helps strengthen CIBC’s advisor growth strategy by creating meaningful experiences and practical tools that attract top Financial Advisor talent. As a Senior Consultant, Competitive Search Enablement, you’ll lead the design and delivery of recruitment enablement programs, talent engagement events, and candidate marketing initiatives that support long-term relationship building. You’ll translate our Financial Advisor acquisition strategy into compelling leader activation plans, signature events, and personalized engagement approaches that build credibility and momentum in the market. Working closely with Talent Acquisition, business leaders, Marketing, and Communications, you’ll help shape how we show up to experienced advisors who are evaluating growth, platform, autonomy, client experience, transition support, culture, succession, and legacy. This is a strategic role with hands‑on accountability for building high-value touchpoints that differentiate CIBC as the destination of choice for high‑performing advisors. At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. You’ll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you’ll spend 1-3 days per week on‑site, while other days will be remote.

How you’ll succeed
  • Recruitment enablement - Develop and maintain recruitment tools and resources, including pitch decks, advisor value proposition materials, competitive insights, frequently asked questions, transition guides, playbooks, and conversation frameworks that support competitive search efforts.
  • Event strategy and execution - Lead a national calendar of advisor talent engagement events, from curated networking opportunities and discovery dinners to recruitment forums, conferences, and thought leadership sessions, while managing logistics, budgets, vendors, invitations, and follow‑up.
  • Employer brand and candidate marketing - Partner with Marketing and Communications to create advisor‑facing content, digital campaigns, testimonials, success stories, and recruitment advertising that strengthens CIBC’s employer brand and market presence.
  • Stakeholder collaboration - Work closely with the Director of Competitive Search, Region Heads, Canadian Group Managing Directors (CGMs), and cross‑functional partners to align enablement strategies, event plans, and messaging with recruitment priorities and growth goals.
  • Insights and performance measurement - Monitor industry trends, competitor activity, and advisor sentiment, and track event and enablement results to measure engagement, pipeline impact, conversion, and return on investment.
  • Team contribution - Share best practices, mentor Talent Acquisition and Strategic Sourcing partners, and help foster a collaborative, high‑performing team environment.

  • You know the industry. You bring a strong understanding of the financial advisory landscape, including advisor priorities, market dynamics, and the factors that influence experienced advisors when considering a move.
  • You give meaning to data. You use insights, metrics, and market intelligence to evaluate impact, identify opportunities, and continuously improve recruitment enablement and event strategies.
  • You can demonstrate experience in event management, talent acquisition, recruitment marketing, or human resources enablement.
  • It’s an asset if you have experience in financial services, wealth management, applicant tracking systems, customer relationship management tools, LinkedIn Recruiter, and data‑driven sourcing strategies.
  • You have 7+ years of progressive experience in event management, talent acquisition, recruitment marketing, or human resources enablement. This experience helps you balance strategy, execution, and stakeholder management in a fast‑paced environment.
