In this role, you'll collaborate with financial services companies, demonstrating your expertise in providing transformative solutions. What You'll Do:
  • Partner with CFOs and finance leaders to identify opportunities for process optimization, operational improvements, and enhanced efficiency across the finance function
  • Operational Accounting (addressing the need for continuous improvement and optimization of the finance and accounting functions)
  • Experience in fund accounting within the financial services industry, with a solid understanding of NAV calculations, investor allocations, and financial statement preparation.
  • Assist with the monthly close process, perform month-end tasks and prepare month-end reconciliations, monthly roll-forwards, flux explanations, and supporting documents
  • Assist in the preparation of cash flow statements and other reporting metrics, streamlining monthly close process, testing of the accounting function of new ERPs and cloud-based finance systems, identify and remediate any process gaps.
  • Prepare and review monthly/quarterly financial statements and SEC disclosures, internal financial reporting packs, regulatory reporting and SEC reporting.
  • Financial Reporting (including the design of reporting processes, restatement assistance, and traditional 10-K, 10-Q, and 8-K filings)
  • Implementation of new and existing accounting standard and conduct ad hoc technical accounting research
  • Communicate effectively with clients to convey project findings, updates and recommendations
  • Engage with CrossCountry colleagues and client teams to discuss business challenges and identify innovative solutions
What You'll Bring:
  • 3+ years of experience advising commercial companies in one or more of the following areas: fund accounting , financial reporting, operational accounting; or 3+ years of experience within a company’s finance function, performing close activities
  • Prior experience in professional services (public accounting, advisory firm or management consulting firm)
  • Hands-on experience with finance ERP systems e.g., Oracle, Netsuite, SAP, etc.
  • Professionalism and discretion when interacting with executives and clients
  • In-depth knowledge of accounting standards (U.S. GAAP and/or IFRS)
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • CPA or CA certification preferred
  • Willingness to travel up to 30%. Travel varies based on client preferences
