Job summary

Cadence Solutions is seeking a Senior Consultant to lead SharePoint engagements from scoping through implementation and adoption. You will work with clients, analysts, and technical consultants to translate requirements into practical SharePoint solutions with governance and adoption strategies.

You will drive delivery, oversee UAT, create functional designs and documentation, and mentor junior staff while guiding project timelines and client expectations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of client-facing consulting or technology advisory experience.
• Minimum 3 years hands-on experience implementing or supporting SharePoint solutions.
• Experience engaging with external clients and stakeholders.
• Strong knowledge of SharePoint information architecture, permissions, metadata, and governance.

Role Overview

As a Senior Consultant, you will be involved with client projects from initial scoping of the customer engagement through to the final software installation and customer acceptance. You will assist the engagement manager, analysts, and technical consultants in the gathering and defining of client requirements to implement various Enterprise Content Management (ECM) Systems and Technology. This role is the key liaison between the customer and our business and technical teams.

What You’ll Be Doing

Lead SharePoint Consulting Engagements

• Act as the primary consultant and trusted advisor for clients throughout the project lifecycle, from discovery and solution design through implementation and adoption.
• Facilitate workshops and requirements-gathering sessions to understand business objectives, information management needs, and operational challenges.
• Translate client requirements into practical SharePoint solutions, including information architecture, permissions models, metadata, records management, workflows, and governance frameworks.
• Guide clients on SharePoint best practices, governance, and long-term platform sustainability.

Drive Solution Delivery

• Lead the configuration, testing, and implementation of Microsoft SharePoint solutions.
• Develop business requirements, functional designs, test scripts, and implementation documentation.
• Oversee User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities and support issue resolution throughout project delivery.
• Collaborate closely with technical consultants and project managers to ensure solutions are delivered on time, on budget, and aligned to client expectations.

Enable Adoption & Build Relationships

• Develop and deliver client training, change management materials, and adoption strategies.
• Facilitate communication between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring alignment throughout engagements.
• Build strong, long‑term client relationships through exceptional service, proactive communication, and trusted guidance.
• Mentor Consultants and Analysts, sharing knowledge, providing coaching, and supporting professional growth.

Support Business Growth

• Participate in business development activities, including client presentations, solution demonstrations, estimates, proposals, and Statements of Work.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of consulting methodologies, delivery frameworks, and SharePoint best practices.

What You Bring

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a client‑facing consulting, professional services, or technology advisory role.
• Minimum 3 years of hands‑on experience implementing, configuring, or supporting Microsoft SharePoint solutions.
• Previous consulting experience working directly with external clients and stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of SharePoint information architecture, permissions, metadata, records management, governance, and user adoption practices.
• Proven ability to facilitate workshops, gather requirements, and translate business needs into technology solutions.
• Experience managing multiple client engagements and balancing competing priorities.
• Exceptional verbal, written, facilitation, and presentation skills.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to navigate complex business challenges.
• Demonstrated ability to lead conversations with both technical and non‑technical audiences.
• Proven ability to mentor team members and contribute positively to a collaborative consulting environment.
• Degree or Diploma in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• AIIM, ARMA, Microsoft, or other relevant information management certifications are considered an asset.

• Contribution to mentoring, coaching, and developing Consultants and Analysts.
• Participation in business development activities, including demonstrations, proposals, Statements of Work, and client presentations.
• Demonstration of leadership, accountability, and ownership across all phases of project delivery.
