Job summary

Clearway is seeking a Construction Site Superintendent to lead day-to-day operations on heavy civil projects in Ontario. You will allocate resources, manage equipment and subcontractors, and ensure compliance with owner standards and project specifications.

The role reports to the Vice-President, Construction and requires an engineering or construction management background, excellent communication, and the ability to deliver on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree (Civil preferred) or Construction Management degree or equivalent experience.
• Experience with ICI works including pumping stations and treatment plants is a strong asset.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and direct construction projects per contract documents and best practices.
• Ensure safety compliance for all labour forces including subcontractors.
• Maintain daily reports, journals, safety and maintenance records.
• Enforce project safety and quality-control policies.
• Coordinate crews, equipment, materials and subcontractors to meet schedules.
• Review specifications and drawings to support planning and mobilization.
• Lead project meetings and monitor budgets with Project Managers.
