Construction Project Manager

Your new role

As our new Construction Project Manager, you will manage and direct staff activities related to the design and construction of projects. You must interpret drawings, specifications, and schedules to ensure projects are constructed according to design intent, project plans, budget, and schedule. You will also contribute to financial growth, develop followership, lead high-performance teams, resolve conflicts, negotiate positive outcomes, mentor future leaders, and motivate employees.

Your key responsibilities will be :

  • Managing budgets, project staff, subcontractors, schedules, change orders, project risks, invoicing, accounts payable and receivable, and project gross margin.
  • Ensuring project conformance with quality and safety standards.
  • Proactively managing change orders and project risks related to quality, subcontractors, revenue, budgets, cash flow, and safety.
  • Maintaining client contact and implementing strategic plans for technical advice, planning, permitting, and construction phases for water/wastewater projects.
  • Participating in selecting project teams, procuring subcontractors, and preparing budgets and schedules.
  • Leading health and safety compliance efforts.
  • Preparing proposals, negotiating with clients, and overseeing project planning and execution.
  • Conducting constructability and quality reviews of design documents and project deliverables.
  • Motivating and influencing project teams to deliver excellent client service.
  • Delegating responsibilities and mentoring team members.
  • Developing growth and succession plans for team development.
  • Utilizing Ramboll's tools for goal setting, career development, and planning.
  • Identifying hiring needs and managing recruitment and onboarding processes.
  • Resolving conflicts effectively and promoting diversity and inclusion.

Your new team

You will be part of the Water US, Construction Management Division, supporting municipal water construction projects in the Mid-Atlantic region.

About you

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field with 8+ years of experience, or an associate's degree with 10+ years of experience.
  • Experience managing and mentoring construction management teams.
  • Experience in project and program management.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Project and financial systems.
  • A proven track record of delivering exceptional client service.
  • Certifications such as CCM, USACE CQM, CCCA, NICET, PE license, OSHA 30-hour training.
