Job Purpose

We are seeking a Senior Construction Project Manager with deep expertise in ICI (Industrial, Commercial, and Institutional) projects to lead multiple, complex developments from pre-construction through closeout. This leadership role demands a hands-on, proactive individual who excels in budgeting, scheduling, procurement, site supervision, and client relations. You will oversee project teams, mitigate risks, and ensure that safety, quality, and performance goals are consistently exceeded.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead full-cycle management of large-scale ICI construction projects, from planning to handover.
  • Manage project budgets in excess of $5M+, with full responsibility for forecasting, reporting, and cost control.
  • Provide strategic oversight on scheduling, staffing, and resource planning to meet project milestones.
  • Lead site teams, including Project Coordinators, Site Supervisors, and subcontractors, ensuring accountability and performance.
  • Maintain strong client relationships and represent Zgemi in meetings with clients, consultants, and municipal authorities.
  • Oversee procurement strategies, contract administration, and negotiate terms with vendors and subcontractors.
  • Enforce company and legal safety policies; lead incident prevention and compliance initiatives.
  • Provide mentoring and coaching to junior PMs and support succession planning within the team.
  • Drive quality assurance and control measures to meet or exceed industry and client expectations.

Qualifications & Skills Required

  • 7+ years of experience in Canadian construction project management, specifically ICI projects.
  • Post-secondary degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
  • Proven leadership in delivering multi-million-dollar projects on time and within budget.
  • Expert knowledge of construction codes, safety regulations, and project management best practices.
  • Proficiency with project tools : MS Project, Procore (or equivalent), AutoCAD, MS Office Suite, Planswift.
  • Exceptional leadership, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Strong analytical thinking and ability to pivot in fast-changing environments.
  • PMP designation or Gold Seal Certification (preferred).
  • Valid Ontario Driver’s License and clean abstract.
