Job summary

Denison is seeking a Construction Manager for the Wheeler River Project, based in Northern Saskatchewan. This rotational, site-based role requires leading safety-focused construction execution with the IPT, coordinating contractors and disciplines, and delivering the project to schedule and budget.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in mining or heavy industry, strong leadership and planning skills, and proficiency with Office and SAP/ERP.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a technical discipline relevant to construction management.
• 10+ years of progressive construction experience in mining or heavy industry.
• Experience managing activities on large, complex projects with multiple contractors.
• Strong planning, execution, monitoring and problem-solving in a complex project environment.
• Excellent leadership, teamwork, collaboration and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Provides senior construction leadership within the IPT to plan, coordinate and execute activities safely, on schedule, and within budget.
• Oversees sequencing, logistics, constructability and readiness for field execution.
• Monitors progress, identifies risks and recovery opportunities, and communicates with stakeholders.
• Acts as primary internal interface with contractors and management teams; coordinates multiple trades and work packages.
• Ensures facilities and infrastructure support safe, reliable operation and turnover readiness.
