Location: Seaforth, ON

Salary: Competitive starting salary ($90,000-$130,000 per year) + comprehensive benefits package, pension matching, company vehicle, and potential for bonuses

Company: WH Smith Construction, serving the London area for over 40 years, specializing in general construction and demolition services, focusing on projects that improve community quality of life across Ontario.

Position: Senior Estimator

Responsibilities include:

  1. Drafting proposals and tenders
  2. Organizing schedules with staff and clients
  3. Communicating with contractors for updates
  4. Traveling to sites for research and surveying
  5. Coordinating and contracting subtrades

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Drive and initiative
  • Attention to detail

Work hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm, with some evenings and overtime.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in general construction estimation and surveying
  • Proficiency with estimation software
  • Strong skills in blueprints and project management
  • Knowledge of asbestos demolition/abatement is a plus
  • Civil engineering technologist certification preferred
  • Membership in OIQS or CIQS advantageous
