Job summary

Scarborough Transit Connect (STC) is delivering the Scarborough Subway Extension project. The Sr. Construction Coordinator will oversee piles, excavation, dewatering, paving, and associated civil works while supporting project managers and the design team to meet schedule and budget.

With 5+ years in construction, you will coordinate with clients and subcontractors, manage risks, and ensure compliances across disciplines. This is a Toronto-area opportunity on a large-scale infrastructure program.

Qualifications

• Engineering or construction technology diploma/degree required.
• 5+ years of construction experience.
• Experience on multidisciplinary, large-scale railway/infrastructure projects is an asset.
• Ability to identify and document problems/conflicts and resolve them.
• Strong knowledge of surveying techniques and procedures.
• Ability to interpret construction drawings and constructability input.
• Proficient with MS Excel, MS Word, MS Project, AutoCAD, Primavera P6, SAP.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate piles installation, excavation, dewatering, concrete, road grading, paving, landscaping, drainage, traffic, and utilities.
• Provide technical construction expertise across civil, structural, architectural, mechanical, and electrical works.
• Offer value engineering proposals to improve schedule, functionality, and cost.
• Assist Project Managers and Superintendents with schedule, RFIs, and shop drawings, and project closeout.
• Coordinate with client, design team, and subcontractors to manage risks and progress.
• Ensure compliance with drawings, contracts, and design instructions.
