The Senior Implementation Analyst is responsible for configuration of implementation and special projects, as well as analyzing and resolving the day-to-day client issues post-implementation. He/she will take direction from Implementation Managers as needed, but be able to prioritize and resolve issues independently or in a team environment. A Senior Implementation Analyst must be able to serve as a mentor, providing direction to junior analysts on the team.
A successful Senior Implementation Analyst must be able to effectively manage problems that arise, providing clear explanation of the issue and the path to resolution. He/she should have strong technology, communication, and problem solving skills.
Responsibilities:
- Works as a senior member of the benefits implementation team configuring Telus Health proprietary software to meet the requirements of our new and existing clients
- Demonstrates experience implementing employee benefit software
- Understands opportunities and challenges of the benefits administration industry and how it impacts the implementation
- Manages their deliverables independently, communicating status clearly in status meetings
- Works under the guidance of an Implementation Manager and takes the initiative to get assistance when required
- Performs analysis on business requirements and produces configuration designs and identifies potential solution gaps
- Oversee and provide direction for implementation analysts executing the configuration design
- Applies best practice processes and methods
- Sets high standards for own work and ensure high quality outcomes are achieved
- Prepares project estimates and schedules of project activities as required
- Assists benefits administration team with process mapping, training and transition of services
- Ensures effective work habits including quality, punctuality, responsiveness and accessibility to others
- Provides timely feedback to team members on matters related to configuration and team interaction
- Promotes team work and collegiality in the work environment
- Attends internal training sessions to build knowledge of industry topics and trends; leads internal training sessions as needed
- Participates in the training and development of new implementation analysts
- Assists with special projects and other tasks, as required
- Observes the corporate values of Telus Health
- Promotes Telus Health as the service provider of choice in the industry
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in configuring H&W or finance systems.
- Strong expertise in business process modeling, system configuration, and web/mobile application design.
- Strong understanding of health and welfare benefits.
- Solid SQL knowledge, plus proficiency in at least one coding language is required.
- Solid understanding in payroll systems, and system integration methodologies.
- Familiarity with agile methodologies and iterative solution development.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Proven ability to work independently, drive innovation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to navigate complex system challenges.
- Experience with financial reporting, payment processing, and system testing is a plus.
- Organized and detail-oriented, capable of managing multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
