Job summary

Sun Life Financial Canada is seeking a Compliance Testing Manager to lead the ongoing testing program across Canadian business units. The role designs test procedures, reviews regulatory requirements, and reports findings with actionable recommendations.

Hybrid work environment, collaboration with BUCO, Enterprise Compliance and stakeholders, and opportunities to advance governance with AI-enabled testing approaches are key. Requires 3–7 years in compliance testing or internal audit.

Qualifications

• 3–7 years of Compliance Testing or Internal Audit experience.
• Knowledge of audit procedures, planning, testing and sampling.
• Ability to interpret legislation into business/regulatory risk.
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements and securities laws.
• Experience developing AI agents or GenAI tools a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute test procedures based on regulatory requirements and policies.
• Communicate with stakeholders and elevate engagements as needed.
• Identify issues and develop actionable recommendations.
• Write testing reports detailing risk, scope, findings and actions.
• Support annual compliance test plans for Canadian business units.
• Review program outcomes for trends and drive improvements with AI support.
