About Us
The Public Service Commission is the central human resource agency for the Government of Saskatchewan. The Commission provides leadership and policy direction to all ministries to enable a high-performing and innovative professional public service. The Commission works with ministries to ensure effective workforce management by supporting the delivery of foundational services such as staffing and classification, and strategic support, including labour relations and organizational development.
Total Rewards is one of five Human Resource Centres of Excellence within the Government of Saskatchewan, where a team of subject matter experts develop and implements compensation and benefits systems and policies for the public service.
The Opportunity
The Public Service Commission is seeking two experienced, detail-oriented, and collaborative compensation experts to join a team of professionals as a Senior Compensation Consultant in the Total Rewards branch. Of the two positions, one is permanent, and the other is a one-year term. This posting may also be used to staff future permanent or non-permanent Compensation Consultant (MCP06) or Senior Compensation Consultant (MCP08) vacancies.

To be successful in the role, the ideal candidate will have:
Typically, the knowledge for this position would be gained through the successful completion of
post-secondary education in business administration, combined with 5 years of experience in compensation. An equivalent combination of education and work experience will be considered.
Candidates who don’t meet the full qualifications of a Senior Compensation Consultant are encouraged to apply for consideration as a Compensation Consultant. This competition may also be used to fill future permanent and term Compensation Consultant and Senior Compensation Consultant opportunities within the branch.
Compensation will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
