Permanent Full Time

As the in-house compensation expert for your assigned client portfolios within the Canada segment, you will leverage market insights and compensation expertise to provide strategic guidance on complex pay decisions. As a trusted advisor, you will build strong partnerships with HR and business leaders, helping to shape compensation solutions that attract, retain, and reward talent. By developing a deep understanding of the business and its strategic priorities, you will deliver practical, data-driven recommendations that support organizational success while balancing market competitiveness, internal equity, and sound governance.

What You Will Do
  • Lead day-to-day non-executive compensation advisory services for assigned portfolios, serving as a trusted advisor to HR Business Partners, Talent Acquisition teams, and senior leaders on complex pay decisions, compensation governance matters, and market competitiveness strategies that support talent attraction, retention, and engagement.
  • Build a deep understanding of client businesses and strategic priorities to deliver credible and relevant compensation advice, reviews, and projects aligned with organizational needs.
  • Participate in salary surveys; analyze and interpret market data; and use external networks to identify best practices and monitor emerging industry trends.
  • Partner with HR Business Partners and business leaders on job architecture topics, including job evaluation, ensuring job architecture standards are maintained, and roles are appropriately levelled and aligned with compensation philosophy, market practices, and governance requirements.
  • Prepare and present compensation analyses, reports, dashboards, and insights that support decision-making for HR partners, business leaders, and senior stakeholders.
  • Support client groups through the annual compensation cycle and collaborate with other Centres of Excellence to ensure effective program administration and a positive employee experience.
  • Drive continuous improvement through process optimization, automation, and innovative solutions that enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of compensation programs.
What You Will Bring
  • Undergraduate degree in a related discipline.
  • 7+ years of progressive compensation experience, including advising senior leaders on complex compensation matters, market competitiveness, pay governance, and job evaluation.
  • Completion of the Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) or Certified Human Resources Leader (CHRL) designation, or meaningful progress toward either, is strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience providing strategic compensation advice and recommendations to HR Business Partners, business leaders, and senior stakeholders.
  • Strong knowledge of compensation principles, market benchmarking, pay governance, job evaluation methodologies, compensation analysis, and risk management practices.
  • Proven ability to conduct job evaluations, interpret market data, and translate complex compensation insights into practical business recommendations.
  • High degree of integrity, discretion, and sound judgment when handling confidential information and sensitive matters.
  • Strong consultation, communication, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders and navigate complex discussions.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and confidence working with large and complex datasets.
  • Experience supporting job architecture frameworks and organizational design initiatives is considered an asset.
  • As this position is posted in several locations, we specify that bilingualism (fluent in French, English, both oral and written) is required for Quebec only as the position will regularly serve our clients with French and English-speaking needs.

The base salary for this position is between $75,600 - $125,600 annually. This represents base salary only and does not represent other variable compensation components of our total compensation ( i.e. annual bonus, commission etc). If you are selected to move forward in our recruitment process, your recruiter will be able to discuss additional details of our total rewards program with you.

Career opportunities will be open a minimum of 5 business days from the date of posting, closing dates will vary depending on the search activity. All applications received will be reviewed on a rolling basis.
