Base pay range

CA$120,000.00/yr - CA$155,000.00/yr

JLL is seeking an experienced professional for the Senior Commissioning Manager position within the Project Delivery Service team in Vancouver. The team handles major commissioning projects across industries such as infrastructure, healthcare, and mission-critical facilities.

This role requires expertise in building systems, particularly electrical systems, with onsite presence for project management and client interaction (approximate travel 10-20%). Flexibility to work from the downtown office and remotely is available.

Responsibilities include:
  1. Understanding and managing Security, Communications, Mechanical, and Electrical systems and related commissioning activities.
  2. Ensuring compliance with ASHRAE, CSA, and LEED commissioning standards.
  3. Monitoring, reviewing, and executing commissioning projects with technical and managerial excellence.
  4. Collaborating with team members, consultants, and contractors to lead cross-functional projects.
  5. Protecting contractual interests and ensuring work meets requirements.
  6. Managing or co-managing commissioning projects.
  7. Conducting field activities such as site visits, start-up, testing, and functional and integrated systems testing.
  8. Reviewing design drawings, specifications, and submittals.
  9. Leading commissioning meetings and preparing checklists and test forms.
  10. Using calibrated testing equipment effectively.
  11. Developing and resolving issues with an Issues Log.
  12. Executing seasonal and performance tests.
  13. Developing training programs for installed systems.
  14. Managing project documentation and field activities efficiently.

Qualifications:
  • 8+ years of relevant experience in commissioning and project management

  • P.Eng/PE or PMP is an asset
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Proficiency in MS Project, Word, Excel, and commissioning software
  • Experience with scheduling, performance data analysis, and working in consultancy or owner organizations is advantageous
