Job Title: Senior Commissioning Consultant - Building Performance

What you will do at WSP
- Lead within the commissioning team, providing technical guidance and mentorship.
- Develop client relationships and proposals to grow the project portfolio.
- Participate in projects improving building functionality and performance.
- Manage project deliverables like design reviews and system verification reports.
- Support owners, designers, and builders to achieve high-performance goals (LEED, Net Zero, Carbon Neutral).
- Conduct site visits, review installation quality, and prepare reports to enhance system efficiency and longevity.
- Work primarily in Alberta, with occasional travel to other regions.
- Coordinate with technical leaders on commissioning, energy audits, and retro-commissioning.
- Apply Quality Assurance and Quality Control practices.
- Contribute to developing internal processes and best practices.
- Perform other duties as required.
What you bring to WSP
- Proven ability to work effectively in small teams and maintain client relationships.
- Excellent communication skills, both virtual and written.
- 10+ years of relevant experience.
- Journeyman Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Automation Technician certification.
- Degree or diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Building Systems Engineering, or related fields.
- Knowledge of building systems performance, operations, and optimization.
- Professional designation (e.g., P.Eng., P.Tech.) is preferred.
- Relevant certifications (LEED AP, CCP, CxA, CEM, CMVP) are valued.
- Experience in design, construction, or project management for new or major renovation projects is an asset.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License.
