This role involves working closely with stakeholders, handling underwriting submissions, managing a portfolio, and building strong relationships with customers and brokers. Key responsibilities
  1. Analyze risks and assess underwriting submissions to make informed decisions.
  2. Develop, negotiate, and manage a portfolio aligned with Ecclesiastical's strategic goals.
  3. Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, brokers, and internal teams, ensuring excellent customer service.
  4. Plan, prioritize, and manage tasks to meet objectives and SLAs.
  5. Operate within Ecclesiastical’s framework, escalating risks as needed.
Knowledge, skills, and experience
  1. University degree and advanced insurance certifications like CIP or equivalent.
  2. 6-8 years of progressive underwriting experience, focusing on property and casualty products.
  3. Proficiency with underwriting tools, systems, and data analysis for risk evaluation and premium calculation.
  4. Attention to detail, excellent communication, interpersonal, and time management skills.
  5. Strong negotiation skills and adaptability to market and guideline changes.
  6. Understanding of underwriting guidelines, policy wording, pricing tools, and regional market.
  7. Ability to coach and mentor junior underwriters and associates.
  8. Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
  9. High ethical standards, regulatory compliance, and discretion handling sensitive information.
