Role description:
Arcadis is currently seeking a Senior Commercial Manager to join our Mobility Global Business Area (GBA) in Canada.
We partner with our clients across the globe to design thriving and connected cities and communities that enable opportunity for all and keep the world moving. We design connected, sustainable solutions that integrate existing infrastructure with new technologies, and optimize the mobility of people and goods.
In this role, you will be a key member of a project delivery team providing technical leadership to the commercial function during the design and execution phase of major capital construction projects. Your work will contribute to the successful completion of the project.
Role accountabilities:
In this role, you will be tasked with the critical responsibility of reviewing and updating the Cost to Complete/Estimate at Completion on a monthly basis. This involves gaining agreement with the Project Manager or Director and entering the data into Oracle. You will also prepare and update monthly cost reports for senior management, advising them of any variations to the budget, whether it be under or overbooking, or related to change management. Your role will involve processing project change notices, maintaining change logs, and developing management reports at an appropriate level of detail. You will also strategize for implementation and agreement with design teams and the client.
Additionally, in this role, you will process, verify, and issue invoices in a timely and accurate manner while classifying costs accurately to prepare financial reports. You will assist with month-end and year-end duties as needed and be responsible for the financial performance of the project, including monitoring accounts receivable and payable. You will assist in preparing estimates for minor scopes of work for review by the Project Manager or Director. Your duties will also include maintaining project-related records, including contracts, change orders, letters, change logs, schedules, and reports. Moreover, you will identify and resolve project control issues, set up, monitor, and maintain earned value, CPI/SPI, and propose solutions to address any problems in coordination with other project control team members. Lastly, you will oversee project contracts management, letters, and claims to ensure smooth project operations.
