Zensurance seeks a Senior Commercial Insurance Broker to join the Elite Accounts team. You will own a portfolio of high-value accounts, acting as a strategic trusted advisor throughout the renewal lifecycle.

Reporting to the Practice Leader, you’ll audit policy data, negotiate optimal coverage with carriers, and drive long-term client retention while delivering tailored risk solutions.

Qualifications

• Valid broker license for your province and 5+ years of commercial experience.
• Designation in CIP/CAIB/CRM is a bonus.
• Ability to translate complex insurance jargon into clear language.

Responsibilities

• Strategic onboarding: onboarding new customers and establish trusted advisor from day one.
• The Circle of Protection: manage existing book by issuing certificates and processing endorsements for large, complex accounts.
• Forensic policy review: review all new submissions and policy data for accuracy.
• Risk architecture: process remarkets and design risk mitigation strategies (leases, contracts, loss controls).
• Year-round stewardship: maintain value across the policy lifecycle and ensure renewals are smooth.

About the Role & Team:

We’re looking for a drivenSenior Commercial Insurance Broker to join our Elite Accounts team. This isn’t a transactional service role - it’s an opportunity for a high-performing broker who operates as a strategic, trusted advisor to complex commercial clients.

Reporting to the Practice Leader, you’ll own a portfolio of high-value accounts, delivering end-to-end stewardship year-round. You'll lead the full account and renewal lifecycle: auditing policy data, conducting gap analyses to eliminate silent exclusions, and negotiating optimal coverage packages with carrier partners.

By delivering expert advice, mid-term reviews, and tailored coverage enhancements, you'll build lasting relationships and maximize long-term account retention.

Responsibilities:

• Strategic Onboarding: Effectively onboarding new customers and establishing yourself as their trusted advisor from day one.

• The Circle of Protection: Managing an existing book of business by issuing certificates and processing endorsements for large, complex accounts.

• Forensic Policy Review: Carefully reviewing all new submissions and policy data for accuracy.

Requirements:

• Licensing & Commercial Experience: You hold a valid broker license for your province and have 5+ years of commercial experience. Previous experience handling high-premium, complex commercial files is strongly preferred.

• Deep Insurance IQ: A CIP, CAIB, or CRM designation is a significant bonus. You have the technical depth to perform audits on renewals and stay ahead of legislative shifts.

• The Elite Mindset: You align your success with the client’s growth and act as a strategic partner rather than a vendor.

• Excellent Communications: You can translate complex insurance jargon into clear, professional language.

• Workflow Efficiency: Ability to utilize a BMS, Salesforce, or other digital tools to streamline workflows and manage high-volume client data with precision.

• High-Impact Collaboration: You’re a strong advocate for your clients with Underwriters and a leader of accountability within your internal team.

• Solution-Oriented Drive: You approach challenges with persistence and agility, consistently meeting set targets through innovative risk solutions.

• Exceptional Organization: You have strong prioritization skills and the flexibility to manage a diverse, high-complexity portfolio simultaneously.

$68,000 - $80,000 a year

Our On-Target Earnings (OTE) Structure

Your total cash compensation consists of a guaranteed base salary and a performance-based bonus. Our bonus structure is paid out quarterly and includes multipliers for any performance over target. This means your actual take-home pay can significantly exceed the standard OTE.

$78,000 OTE (Up to $110,000+ for top performers)
