Job description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior CNC Machinist to join our manufacturing team. This role is responsible for programming, setting up, operating, and inspecting CNC machines to produce high-quality components according to tight specifications. The ideal candidate will bring leadership, technical expertise, and a commitment to continuous improvement in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up and operate CNC mills, lathes, or multi-axis machines to produce precision parts.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T specifications.
  • Program CNC machines using G-code, M-code, and/or CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, Fusion 360).
  • Perform in-process inspections using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and CMMs to ensure accuracy and quality.
  • Lead setup and troubleshooting of complex jobs and collaborate with engineers on process improvements.
  • Mentor and train junior machinists and assist with workload prioritization.
  • Maintain safe work practices and adhere to all safety and quality standards.
  • Perform routine machine maintenance and troubleshoot equipment issues.
  • Optimize machining parameters to increase productivity and tool life.
Qualifications:
  • Red Seal Machinist Certification
  • 5–10 years of CNC machining experience, preferably in a high-precision or aerospace/manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of machining principles, materials, tooling, and cutting conditions.
  • Proficient in reading blueprints and understanding GD&T.
  • Experience with CNC programming (G-code and CAM software).
  • Ability to use a wide range of inspection tools.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities
