About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Cloud Developer to join our computer vision team in Montreal, QC. In this role, you will design, build, and maintain robust AWS environments and services that underpin our computer vision initiatives. This role involves developing scalable applications for deploying computer vision models, creating tools for content development, and implementing dashboards to monitor data pipelines. Additionally, the engineer will manage AWS infrastructure, ensuring optimal network configurations, security protocols, database services, and overall system reliability. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge computer vision projects by leveraging cloud technologies to build scalable and efficient solutions.
What You'll Accomplish
Develop and Maintain Scalable Applications: Build and upgrade applications that efficiently run computer vision models at scale, ensuring high performance and reliability.
Architect End to End Cloud Solutions: Design and document resilient, scalable, and secure system architectures for our computer vision services, data processing pipelines, and deployment workflows.
Create Development Tools and Dashboards: Build tools that facilitate content creation within computer vision applications, and dashboards to track and visualize data.
Manage AWS Infrastructure: Oversee the configuration and maintenance of AWS environments, including network setups, security measures, database services, and overall infrastructure health.
Ensure Security and Compliance: Implement security best practices to protect cloud environments and ensure compliance with industry standards.
Optimize Performance and Cost: Monitor and optimize the performance and cost-efficiency of AWS resources, ensuring scalable and cost-effective solutions.

Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
5+ years of experience in developing and maintaining cloud-based services, with a strong focus on AWS environments
Cloud Infrastructure: In-depth understanding of cloud infrastructure fundamentals and core AWS services, including but not limited to ECS, EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, and VPC configurations
3+ years of experience in Python for developing applications and automation scripts.
Experience with Terraform for managing infrastructure as code, ensuring consistent and repeatable deployments
Experience in setting up and managing Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment pipelines to streamline development workflows
Experience in managing development, staging, and production deployments, ensuring smooth transitions and minimal downtime
Experience implementing identity and access management, data encryption, and ensuring compliance with industry standards
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with advanced AWS services such as SageMaker for machine learning model deployment, Step Functions for orchestrating workflows, and Batch for running batch computing jobs.
Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools such as Kubernetes or ECS, particularly within AWS environments.
Proficiency in setting up monitoring and logging solutions using tools like CloudWatch, Prometheus, or Grafana to ensure system health and performance.
Strong scripting skills in Bash or PowerShell for automating routine tasks and improving operational efficiency.
Possession of AWS certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, demonstrating a recognized level of expertise.
Excellent problem-solving abilities, effective communication skills, and a collaborative mindset to work seamlessly with cross-functional teams.
Compensation
This position will have an annual salary, plus equity and benefits. Please note the annual salary range is a guideline, and individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies, and work location. The annual salary range for this position is $96,000-$144,000.
