Role Summary:
As a Senior Cloud Data Warehouse Engineer, you will be a member of the C3 Data Warehouse team with a focus on building our next-gen data platform used for sourcing and storing data from different technology systems across the firm into a centralized data platform that empowers various reporting and analytics solutions for the Technology Risk functions within ***. You will be responsible for developing our Cloud Data Warehouse utilizing Snowflake and Python-based tooling, designing and developing data solutions with Snowflake features, and integrating our data warehouse with internal platforms. You will collaborate closely with data warehousing leads, analysts, ETL developers, infrastructure engineers, and analytics teams.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Design, develop, and manage our Snowflake data warehouse.
• Establish best practices for Snowflake usage with tools like Airflow, DBT, and Spark.
• Assist with testing and deployment of data pipelines using standard frameworks and CI/CD tools.
• Monitor query and load performance, perform tuning as needed.
• Support QA & UAT phases to validate issues and determine resolutions.

Skills / Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, or related field.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in complex data environments with large data volumes.
• At least 7 years of SQL/PLSQL experience with complex query writing.
• At least 5 years of developing data solutions on Snowflake.
• At least 3 years of experience with Python and libraries like Pandas, NumPy, PySpark.
• Experience with hybrid data environments (on-prem and cloud).
• Hands-on Python experience is mandatory.
• Hands-on experience with Airflow (or similar tools like Dagster).
• Snowflake SnowPro Core certification is required; SnowPro Advanced Architect/Data Engineer is a plus.
• Experience with DBT is a plus.
• Experience with performance tuning SQL, Spark jobs, stored procedures.
• Understanding of E-R data models and advanced data warehouse concepts is a plus.
• Strong analytical, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Self-starter with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
