Account Executive/ Technical Recruiter/ Sales Specialist

LeverageTek is actively seeking a Senior Cloud Automation Engineer for a 9-month contract with its Ottawa-based customer.

Work Location: The successful candidate can work remotely (Eastern Time Zone) with occasional onsite visits at the customer headquarters in Ottawa, ON.

Key Tasks

• Design, implement, and maintain automation supporting continuous integration, delivery, and deployment of software applications, cloud services, and infrastructure.
• Ensure automated deployment aligns with security and architecture standards, supporting scalable development and infrastructure for future cloud-based AI and data analytics projects.
• Develop and manage infrastructure through Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices.
• Build and enhance CI/CD pipelines to facilitate rapid, secure deployments, improving development workflow automation and productivity.
• Configure repositories for code management.
• Automate provisioning for development, staging, and production environments.
• Maintain high standards for code quality, security, and documentation.
• Implement and oversee GitHub advanced security features.
• Collaborate with developers, architects, and security analysts to address business needs and promote best practices.

Key Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in software development and system integration.
• At least 3 years of experience in DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud infrastructure.
• Deep understanding of DevOps practices, cloud infrastructure, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), orchestration tools, and CI/CD principles.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
• Hands-on experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD in a systems administration or DevOps role.
• Strong expertise with IaC tools like Terraform and Ansible, especially in deploying Azure cloud infrastructure.
• Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies.
• Experience with Azure services (e.g., AKS, ARM templates).
• Proficiency with software version control systems.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
