Job Description:

Are you interested in transforming clinical pharmacy services? Do you want to work with a dynamic, supportive, and friendly team? NHS Fife has undertaken an ambitious project to integrate pharmacy services across hospital, primary care, and specialist teams, ensuring seamless elderly care services across Fife.

We are seeking experienced pharmacy technicians registered with the GPhC, with proven post-qualification experience, to join our integrated pharmacy team. You will work across Fife within the community health clinical pharmacy team, based at Victoria Hospital, supporting discharge wards, rapid assessment units, and across acute and community hospitals.

Your responsibilities will include medicines reconciliation, supporting safe discharges, and coordinating care pathways for elderly patients. You will also support the timely provision of medicines for inpatient care, discharges, and transfers.

The role requires travel across Fife to cover community hospitals outside your base location. You will have scheduled sessions to maintain your checking qualification. The ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team, along with excellent communication skills, is essential. Experience in a clinical environment and staff management is preferred.

Please note that due to legislative changes from 1 April 2025, the level of criminal records checks may change. If the role is classified as a 'regulated role,' you will need to join the PVG Scheme. NHS Fife is committed to equality and diversity, encouraging applications from all sections of society, including disabled candidates and those with long-term conditions or neurodivergence. Salary is pro-rata for part-time hours.
