Location: Hybrid work environment; 2 days per week in office (subject to change). This role can be performed from EDC’s headquarters in Ottawa or from one of our Community Hubs located in Toronto, Mississauga, Montreal, Brossard, Laval, Calgary, Edmonton, Halifax, or Vancouver. Relocation assistance is available for eligible candidates.

Team Overview

The Digital & Technology Solutions (DTS) group, led by the Chief Information Officer, aims to empower customers and colleagues with secure and reliable digital experiences. Objectives include:

  • Define and sustain the integrated technology target state and data model to enable EDC’s 2030 business transformation.
  • Establish and manage a rolling 3-Year Digital Roadmap to sequence technology outcomes.
  • Keep pace with industry trends and emerging technologies to stay relevant in the market and grow Canadian global trade.
  • Lead integrated digital, data, infrastructure, and cybersecurity implementations to create excellent experiences.

Workplace Solutions supports organizational communication, collaboration, and business operations. The Technical Lead designs, develops, integrates, and implements solutions through software and infrastructure, covering project delivery, software maintenance, vendor collaboration, and alignment with IT standards and business requirements. In collaboration with the Workplace Solutions Technical Lead, the Client Systems Analyst partners with managed service providers to deliver solutions and oversee operational support.

This role performs all aspects of desktop technology delivery, including collaborating with vendors, translating business requirements into viable solutions, testing, and deployment.

What you will be doing
  • Execute tasks related to design, development, integration, and operation of information systems.
  • Evaluate effectiveness of existing systems and recommend improvements.
  • Interpret system models and coordinate with delivery teams and third-party vendors.
  • Maintain standards for system deployment, testing, and governance.
  • Provide expert-level support for complex technical issues and manage full solution lifecycle.
  • Ensure system security, performance, and availability through proactive monitoring and configuration.
  • Administer and configure mobile devices for end users using Office365, Intune, Hybrid (SCCM with Intune), and Azure Active Directory.
  • Advocate for end users and escalate issues as needed; maintain clear communication.
  • Monitor health, performance, and stability of endpoint infrastructure and plan long-term improvements.
  • Execute tasks and projects related to endpoint technologies such as workstations and laptops.
What we are looking for
  • Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, MIS, or related field
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience as a subject matter expert in:
  • Endpoint Management
  • Microsoft 365 (Office Apps, SharePoint Online, Exchange Online, Teams)
  • Windows Desktop Operating Systems
  • Mobile Device Management (MDM)
  • Proven record in transitioning to new endpoint technologies and evolving endpoint systems
  • Strong communication skills; ability to create and maintain technical processes
  • Analytical and problem-resolution skills; works independently with guidance in complex situations
  • Interprets business challenges and recommends best practices
