FUTURE OPPORTUNITY

Reporting to the Associate Director/Director, Real Estate Banking, this role contributes to the success of the Commercial Bank in Canada by executing team goals, plans, and initiatives aligned with business strategies while ensuring compliance with regulations, policies, and procedures.

The Sr. Client Solutions Analyst supports the Associate Director and Director of REB in servicing client requirements and managing new requests. This includes coordinating with internal partners and engaging directly with clients for activities such as financial reporting, credit diligence, and funding requirements, specifically within Commercial Banking Distribution.

The clients serviced are primarily in Canada, possibly across regions or internationally, involving both borrowing (over $25MM) and non-borrowing clients, often with complex financial solutions.

Strong organizational skills are essential for managing extensive data and balancing multiple tasks, from client service to borrower reporting and credit support.

This role primarily interacts with internal teams such as Global Risk Management, BSC, EDDU, CRA, Syndication, and GBM, and externally with solicitors, accountants, and other service providers.

The Sr. Client Solutions Analyst provides service aligned with Scotia Standards, looks for opportunities to promote bank products, and suggests process improvements based on client feedback.

Accountabilities:
  1. Foster a customer-focused culture to deepen relationships and leverage bank resources.
  2. Support onboarding by collecting and documenting client information for risk assessments.
  3. Handle client servicing escalations, primarily related to credit and daily servicing issues.
  4. Perform credit-related tasks such as financial statement collection, credit presentation preparation, and file documentation.
  5. Coordinate loan funding and account openings with clients and internal partners.
  6. Identify opportunities for additional bank products and process improvements.
  7. Ensure compliance with risk appetite and culture, and maintain effective controls for operational and regulatory risks.
  8. Lead a high-performance, inclusive team environment, managing succession and development planning.
Education / Experience:
  • University degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Willingness to participate in ongoing training.
Skills/Work Experience:
  • Exceptional client service and issue resolution skills.
  • Excellent organizational and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Proficiency in financial analysis, credit structures, and banking software.
  • Knowledge of onboarding, KYC, AML processes, and commercial banking products.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Flexible, accurate, customer and results-focused.
