Qualifications

  • Minimum of 7 years experience handling casualty claims required.
  • Ability to understand insurance contracts in various jurisdictions.
  • Knowledge of principles and practices of claims settlement and fraud investigations.
  • Strong organizational, decision-making and problem-solving skillset.
  • Understanding insurance contracts in various jurisdictions.

  • Strong general computer knowledge.

Responsibilities

  • Provide oversight of external adjusters on outsourced claims.
  • Investigate and negotiate personal/commercial lines claims.
  • Manage claims in litigation and participate in mediations.
  • Timely, accurate reserving in line with Corporate protocols and guidelines.
  • Maintain control over expenses through proactive handling techniques.
  • Direct vendor partners as necessary.
  • Obtain approval from Manager on claims above authority.
  • Manage claims in litigation, participate in mediations, pre-trials and settlement conferences.
  • Perform other tasks and duties as assigned by the Manager.

Position Details
What You Will Do
