Key Information :

• Must have 15-20 years of highway experience in BC.
• Must have at least 5 years as a Project Manager or equivalent.
• Minimum of 5 years of civil construction experience.
• At least 3 years of estimating or similar experience.
• Hours: Based on a 44-hour work week; overtime may be required during busy seasons.
• Willingness to work evenings and weekends when needed.
• Hourly rate depends on experience.

Job Description :

• Schedule and lead construction planning meetings.
• Organize the construction project effectively.
• Oversee the overall construction program.
• Provide leadership to maximize productivity.
• Manage field costs, forecast expenses, and implement cost controls.
• Develop and implement a site safety program.
• Negotiate and administer construction contracts to ensure performance and minimize claims.
• Ensure effective information flow within the project team and to clients.
• Coordinate with municipal authorities for permits and public relations.
• Plan for the turnover of completed facilities to operations.
• Manage liaison between design engineering and the field.
• Ensure site procedures and controls are followed.
• Review and approve contractor invoices based on work completed.

Experience and Certification Requirements :

• Minimum of 5 years as a Project Manager or equivalent.
• 15-20 years highway experience in BC.
• At least 5 years civil construction experience.
• Strong background in civil projects is an asset.
• Proficiency in Primavera Contract, Microsoft Projects, Excel, and proprietary software.
• Ability to mentor team members.
• Strong contract negotiation skills.
• Cost control experience is an asset.
• Excellent analytical skills.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record; travel required.
• Proficient in English.
• This position is for a minimum two-year project in Golden, BC.

Education : Diploma or degree in civil engineering, project management, or equivalent.
