Stantec is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to lead complex water-focused projects in BC and Alberta. You will mentor staff, guide design teams, and serve in roles from technical lead to project manager across multiple projects in our regional Water group.

The role of the Senior Civil Engineer is to work on complex and exciting projects both independently and as a team member. In this position you could work as a technical engineer, project technical lead, project manager or a combination of roles to guide the projects to successful outcomes for the communities we work with. As a senior engineer, people leadership skills are important to work on multi-discipline teams and to mentor younger staff both technically and professionally.
The Stantec Water group provides services to both private and public sector clients. While you will be focusing on work in the region listed above, the successful candidate will also have opportunities to collaborate with our other teams across North America and support their project needs as opportunities arise. Typical office environment working with computers and working at a desk for long periods of time. Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather. In office a minimum of 2 days per week.
In compliance with pay transparency laws, pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible. Actual compensation for part‑time roles will be pro‑rated based on the agreed number of working hours per week.
