Job summary

SYSTRA Canada, part of the SYSTRA group, is seeking a Civil 3D Design Specialist to join the Cable Containment Design Team on the LRT project in Ontario. You will develop and maintain Civil 3D models for grading, drainage, utilities, and roadways, and coordinate with the OMSF BIM Coordinator.

The role requires 7+ years of civil modelling, Ontario drafting standards, and strong BIM coordination. You will mentor junior modelers, perform clash detection, and promote process improvements in a hybrid

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 7 years civil modelling and design experience.
• Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D including surfaces, grading, corridors, pipe networks, profiles, and quantities.
• Strong knowledge of BIM coordination and Ontario drafting standards.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Civil 3D models for grading, drainage, utilities, earthworks, roadways, parking areas, and site servicing.
• Produce coordinated drawings, profiles, sections, details, and quantity take-offs.
• Coordinate the civil model with the OMSF BIM Coordinator and multidisciplinary teams.
• Perform clash detection, constructability checks, and model quality reviews.
• Manage model standards, data references, file structures, and drawing consistency.
• Support utility coordination and provide technical guidance to junior modelers and CAD technicians.
• Stay updated with latest communication technologies and best practices.
• Promote process improvements and innovation within the team.
