Job summary

EQ Bank is seeking a Senior CIAM leader to shape customer identity capabilities and governance. You will partner with business, product, and technology teams to translate needs into CIAM architecture and roadmaps, ensuring secure, compliant, and scalable solutions.

This role emphasizes strategic planning and governance with limited hands-on coding. The position is hybrid, based in Toronto, with senior responsibilities in steering enterprise CIAM initiatives and collaborating with IAM leadership

Qualifications

• Experience leading CIAM strategy, governance, or platform direction in a customer-facing environment.
• Strong communication and ability to influence senior business and technology leaders.
• Proven ability to translate business needs into CIAM capabilities and requirements.
• Hands-on knowledge of authentication, federation, OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, and SAML.
• Ability to estimate technical effort and delivery complexity for IAM initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Define and own the CIAM strategy and multi-year roadmap aligned with business growth.
• Partner with product, digital, and security teams to translate requirements into CIAM outcomes.
• Establish governance frameworks, standards, and guardrails for CIAM.
• Provide high-level architectural guidance and platform-direction decisions.
• Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to ensure secure, scalable CIAM solutions.
