Job Summary

We are seeking a talented and motivated Senior Chef de Partie to join our team at Corbin Catering & Foods, a full-service catering company with a retail storefront. The ideal candidate will have strong culinary skills, leadership qualities, and the ability to thrive in both high-volume catering production and day-to-day kitchen operations. As a Senior Chef de Partie, you will be responsible for preparing and overseeing both hot and cold food items for small private dinners, large-scale events, and our retail offerings. You will play a key role in ensuring consistency, quality, and efficiency across all areas of the kitchen.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare, cook, and present menu items to the highest standards for catering, retail, and events.
  • Oversee assigned kitchen sections (hot, cold, prep, or pastry) and ensure smooth operation during service and production.
  • Assist in planning and executing menus for small dinners to large-scale catering functions.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and health regulations at all times.
  • Maintain organization and cleanliness of kitchen and storage areas.
  • Support inventory management by monitoring stock levels, reducing waste, and assisting with orders.
  • Train, mentor, and support junior cooks and kitchen assistants.
  • Work collaboratively with the Head Chef and culinary team to ensure timely and efficient food preparation.
  • Maintain high standards of presentation and portion control for both plated service and bulk catering.
  • Assist in developing new dishes, retail products, and seasonal menu items.
Experience & Qualifications
  • Minimum 5-8 years of experience in a professional kitchen, with at least 2 year in a Chef de Partie or supervisory role.
  • Proven ability to work in both hot and cold food preparation environments.
  • Experience with catering operations, banquets, and large-scale food production is required.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and commitment to best practices in kitchen hygiene.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills with the ability to support and mentor junior staff.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by catering schedules.
  • Culinary school diploma or equivalent professional experience preferred.
