Job summary

COMPASS GROUP CANADA is seeking a Senior Category Development Manager for the Disposable Packaging Category in Canada. You will own the strategic development of category plans, drive supplier performance, and lead cross-functional teams to achieve savings and growth.

Minimum 7–10 years in purchasing, a post-secondary degree in purchasing or related field, and strong strategic/analytical and negotiation skills are required.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years of purchasing and supply chain management experience.
• Post-secondary education in purchasing or related studies.
• Strong strategic planning and analytical abilities.
• Proven negotiation and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; MS Office proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement five-year category plans for the assigned category to align with business objectives.
• Own the strategic development of category plans and ensure efficient cross-function collaboration.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with strategic suppliers.
• Provide market insights and procurement strategies to leadership.
• Lead strategic sourcing efforts and continuous improvements within the category.
• Manage day-to-day and long-term category activities and initiatives; mentor category team members.
• Identify growth opportunities and develop execution plans.
