Job description

We are currently recruiting for a Senior Casualty Adjuster to join our inside claims team to work remotely in Canada.

Responsibilities

  1. Evaluate commercial auto and property claims through loss investigation and negotiate settlements in accordance with provincial licensing requirements.
  2. Investigate, collect, and analyze claims information.
  3. Evaluate coverage, liability, and quantum.
  4. Negotiate, settle, and finalize claims.
  5. Accurately record, report, and present files.
  6. Maintain accurate billing, and time and expense records.
  7. Work with manager to maintain client relations.

Requirements

  1. Minimum 6 years of technical claims handling experience in commercial auto and property claims.
  2. Post-secondary education in an insurance-related field (considered an asset).
  3. CIP designation or working towards CIP designation is required.
  4. Licensed Independent Adjuster with the ability to maintain a full adjusting license in your home province; multiple provincial licenses preferred.
  5. Strong computer and reporting skills, including Office 365 and Windows 10.
  6. Outstanding customer service skills and a team player attitude.
  7. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  8. Strong analytical and mathematical abilities.
  9. Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  10. Proficiency in PC applications and software.
  11. Complete continuing education courses as required by Crawford and Company, the province, or professional trade associations.
