Job summary

The role requires a Bachelor of Social Work, current BC registration, and at least 3 years in a related setting. Strong communication, empathy, and collaboration with the care team are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Social Work required.
• Master’s degree in Social Work is an asset.
• 3 years of related experience, long-term care setting preferred.
• Current registration with the BC College of Social Workers.

Responsibilities

• Deliver social work services to residents and families in long-term care and convalescent care programs.
• Inform residents and families of services and rights; assist with admissions and discharges.
• Participate in resident care conferences and quality improvement initiatives.
