Job summary

North York General is seeking a Resident Assistant (Personal Support Worker) for the Seniors’ Health Centre in Toronto to support nursing staff in delivering personal care to residents.

You will work under supervision, communicate with elderly residents, participate in daily living activities, and uphold health and safety policies. The role requires a valid PSW certificate, HSCPOA registration, and willingness to obtain a Vulnerable Sector Check; bilingual French/English is an asset.

Qualifications

• PSW certificate completed and in good standing.
• Registered and in good standing with HSCPOA.
• Long term care experience preferred.
• POC experience preferred.
• Vulnerable Sector Check within 6 months or obtain before start date.
• Bilingual French/English an asset.

Responsibilities

• Assist nursing staff in providing personal care to residents.
• Perform procedures and treatments as instructed.
• Communicate effectively with elderly residents and colleagues.
• Work as part of a health care team and adhere to policies.
