AgeCare is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper to maintain a safe, clean, and sanitary Long-Term Care residence for residents, visitors, and staff in Ontario. You will perform a variety of housekeeping duties across dining rooms, bedrooms, lounges, offices, and corridors.

The role requires reading and writing ability, English communication, and the capacity to work with minimal supervision. A Vulnerable Sector Check is required or obtained prior to employment.

Qualifikationen

• Housekeeping experience is desirable but not required.
• Must read/write and follow oral instructions.
• Good oral and written English communication.
• Ability to provide day-to-day feedback.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Second language skills are an asset.
• Must meet physical requirements of the job.
• Must provide or be willing to obtain Vulnerable Sector Check/Criminal Background Check.

Aufgaben

• Keep all areas clean and safe; report unsafe conditions.
• Observe fire and safety rules for residents and staff.
• Work safely in accordance with OH&S policies.
• Clean dining rooms, bedrooms, bathrooms, lounges, offices, hallways and more as directed.
• Clean, mop, wax, dust, and arrange furniture as needed.
• Disinfect sinks, toilets, urinals and phones; operate floor machine for buffing.
• Collect and dispose of garbage; maintain tidy storage areas.
• Attend in-service education and staff meetings as directed.
