Job summary

Saint Elizabeth is hiring for a front-line caregiver role in Canada. You will support seniors with daily activities, administer medications, plan and prepare meals, and document care details. You’ll work within a collaborative team, follow policy, and contribute to residents’ comfort and safety.

The role emphasizes autonomy in practice, compassionate care, and the ability to manage schedules while coordinating with a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Must have Grade 12 or equivalent.
• Health Care Aide/Residential Care Aide certification required.
• Food Safe certificate required.
• Registered with BC Care Aide Association.
• Class 4 driver license and vehicle access is an asset.
• Immunization including TB test up to date.
• Criminal/ Vulnerable Sector checks within 12 months.
• Standard First Aid and CPR Level C certification.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with activities of daily living including feeding, transfers, bathing and hygiene.
• Provide delegated duties such as catheter care, dressings and mobilization.
• Administer medication per policy and provide reminders.
• Plan, prepare, serve meals and grocery shop.
• Observe client condition and report changes or unsafe conditions.
• Complete records and progress notes and maintain documentation.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
