Job summary

PetSmart Canada Home Office is seeking a Principal Supply Chain Manager to oversee the Canadian distribution network, partnering with Metro Operations and a 3PL. The role covers governance, budgeting, and continuous improvement for Elora and Calgary DCs, and coordination with US and Phoenix teams.

You will influence senior leaders, manage performance reviews, and drive cost optimization while ensuring high service levels.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain, business, logistics, operations or related field.
• 7–10 years of progressive experience in supply chain, distribution, logistics, retail ops, or 3PL.
• Experience leading 3PL relationships, governance, SLA management, and exec reviews.
• Experience managing operating budgets, forecasting, financial reporting, and P&L.
• Demonstrated experience driving continuous improvement and cost optimization.
• Strong written and verbal communication, including executive presentation skills.
• Proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint and analytics tools (WMS/LMS, Power BI/Tableau/SQL).

Responsibilities

• Oversee operational governance for Canadian distribution centers including KPIs and service levels.
• Lead governance meetings (weekly/monthly/Quarterly Business Reviews) and drive improvements.
• Drive operations and financial performance with a focus on service, productivity, quality, and cost.
• Develop reporting and analytics to enable data-driven decisions and cross-functional execution.
• Manage budgets, forecasts, variances, and P&L for the Canadian distribution network.
• Collaborate with Finance, Procurement, and Metro Operations on cost optimization strategies.
• Oversee third-party logistics invoice validation and contract compliance.
