Job summary

Egis Canada seeks an experienced CAD Technician to prepare engineering drawings from plans and sections, and to manage sheets per CAD standards.

You will collaborate with engineers and other CAD technicians, developing alignments in Civil3D and 3D corridor modelling while using AutoCAD. Strong English communication and attention to detail are essential.

The role supports infrastructure and development projects with opportunities for growth and professional advancement.

Qualifications

Minimum 10 years CAD-related civil engineering project experience.
Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D software.
Experience collaborating in multidisciplinary project teams.
Excellent English written and verbal communication.
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

Prepare engineering drawings from plans, profiles and cross sections based on standards.
Work with minimal supervision and organize tasks to complete projects.
Set up project reference files and manage sheets per CAD standards.
Adhere to client CAD standards and quality control processes.
Collaborate with CAD technicians and engineers as a team.
Develop alignments and cross sections in Civil 3D; 3D design and corridor modelling.
SharePoint/ProjectWise knowledge is an asset.
Mentor junior CAD technicians and improve quality and efficiency.
