Who are we looking for?

Our Southern Ontario offices in Whitby, Toronto, Mississauga, Markham, and St. Catherines are seeking a Senior CAD/BIM designer - Bridges to join our Canadian Transportation Group.

The Transportation Group works with provincial, regional, and municipal agencies on projects across highways, roads, bridges, transit, and multi-modal infrastructure, providing services throughout the project lifecycle.

This role is ideal for senior CAD/BIM leads or experienced Intermediate Designers aiming to advance in transportation structure design and embrace new engineering technologies.

Responsibilities include:

• Converting engineering notes, specifications, sketches into working drawings, ensuring compliance with standards and codes.
• Providing project design leadership, mentorship, and guidance to team members.
• Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, clients, and stakeholders.
• Experience with design delivery in conventional and design-build projects is a plus.
• Applying technical manuals and standards like CSA and MTO Details.
• Learning visualization software (Infraworks) and programming tools (Dynamo) is advantageous but not mandatory.

Qualifications:

• 15+ years of relevant bridge and structural design experience.
• Knowledge of bridge rehabilitation techniques.
• Proficiency in REVIT, AutoCAD Civil 3D, Bentley, and ProjectWise; Microstation skills are an asset.
• Ability to work in large teams and across regions.
• Diploma in Structural Technology or related field.
• Valid Ontario driver’s license.
