The Opportunity:

We are seeking a Senior Buyer to lead procurement activities for key raw materials, ingredients, and packaging components.

This role is critical in supporting the company’s production and innovation pipeline, ensuring operational continuity, cost efficiency, and supplier performance. You will be a key player in improving procurement processes and contributing to strategic sourcing initiatives.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

• Lead sourcing, negotiation, and procurement of direct and indirect materials required for production

• Manage vendor relationships and performance to ensure quality, service, and value

• Partner with cross-functional teams (Operations, R&D, Quality, Finance) to support new product development and production planning

• Monitor market conditions and conduct cost analysis to drive savings and mitigate supply risk

• Maintain and optimize procurement records in ERP systems

• Analyze inventory levels and demand to support efficient stock management and avoid shortages or excess

• Develop procurement KPIs and contribute to continuous process improvement

• Ensure compliance with internal controls, food safety, and regulatory requirements

Key Qualifications & Competencies:

• 5+ years of experience in procurement or strategic sourcing, preferably in the food manufacturing or CPG industry

• Post-secondary education in Supply Chain, Business, or related field; SCMP or equivalent certification is an asset

• Proficient in ERP systems and Microsoft Excel

• Strong negotiation, communication, and vendor management skills

• Detail-oriented, analytical, and proactive in problem-solving

• A collaborative team player who thrives in a fast-paced, quality-focused environment
